Praya Palazzo - Bangkok - Overview
Boasting a riverside location near some of Bangkok?s glittering temple attractions, Praya Palazzo is a cozy and atmospheric mansion accommodation rich in history and tradition.

The property is quite exclusive; guests can only reach it by serviced barge. Dating back to the ancient kingdom of Siam, the mansion is situated in the heart of Bangkok on the bank of the Chao Phraya River and is the only historical residence of its kind in the capital. This is certainly the accommodation for guests looking for traditional Thai ambiance in the heart of old Bangkok, away from the bustle of the commercial district.

The traditional Thai charm that visitors have come to know and love is the staple design in all of Praya Palazzo's rooms. Almost like stepping back in time during the colonial period, a seamless blend of charming European aesthetics with Thai designs is easy on the eyes and creates an uplifting and charming ambiance. Bathrooms are spacious, with both a shower and bathtub. Garden and rivers views are included, as well as all the necessary amenities and comforts, including cable ready flat screen television sets and internet connectivity.

Maybe because of its heat, but Bangkok is known for its lazy afternoons. In comes the pool, perfect to cool off from those humid and balmy days. For those interested in art and history, the property also hosts Praya Gallery, a fine display of narrative images, bringing to light some of Thailand's proud historical moments. Resembling a traditional wooden colonial book repository, the library features a wide selection of material about Thai culture, history, arts, literature, leisure and travel.

Over at Phraya Dining, guests are treated to a delightful genuine Thai style cuisine in a traditional setting that has come to define the boutique property. Also available are Western favorites and a nice list of beverages and drinks. The pool bar serves refreshing drinks and light snacks, aiding the ever lazy afternoon lounging experience by the swimming pool.

If guests are looking for style and substance, then Praya Palazzo delivers. It may not be in the business or commercial district of the city, but its great location near the temples, main sites and the river along with its traditional aura truly makes this an appealing accommodation option.
