Season/When to go?

Like the rest of Thailand, Koh Samed is subject to annual monsoon rains. The dry season extends from November to February, featuring cooler weather as well (anywhere from low 20's to 30 degrees Celsius). The hottest and driest time of year is from March to May (with 35-40 degree weather not uncommon) and travelers will be ensured of sunny skies but soaring temperatures. From June to October, the island enters its monsoon season and while the rains tend to be short and intense, they can sometimes last all day severely limiting the amount of outdoor activities one can do.
