Our advice: nestled on a cliff at the south end of Chaweng Noi beach, the Kala Samui resort is a great getaway for those seeking solitude yet without being isolated. The rugged natural surroundings and low-key atmosphere will appeal to couples, nature lovers and solo travelers looking for an escape from the trappings of the modern world however Kala Samui may feel too rugged for true luxury vacationers.

When to go?
Dry and pleasant weather is usually experienced between December and June, so this is the best time to visit Koh Samui. For July and August, the weather is generally pleasant but can be unpredictable at times. September and October usually see heavy rains on the island. Temperatures average around 27ºC all year round.
