Situated an hour drive from your hotel, Ratchaprapha Dam in Khao Sok National Park comprises the largest area of virgin forest in Southern Thailand and is a remnant of rainforest which is older and more diverse than the Amazon. This Thailand day trip takes you on a journey from Khao Lak into the Khao Sok National Park, a wonderful contrast of landscapes and experiences. Learn about the Dam and explore the rainforest and breathtaking scenery on foot and boat.

PROGRAM DETAIL

Situated an hour drive from your hotel, Ratchaprapha Dam in Khao Sok National Park comprises the largest area of virgin forest in Southern Thailand and is a remnant of rainforest which is older and more diverse than the Amazon. Once you have arrived, board a long tail boat and discover the breathtaking scenery of the fresh water lake where thousands of limestone mountains serve as a backdrop.

After a stroll to appreciate the surrounding natural scenery of the dam, you will stop on a raft moored in the middle of the lake for lunch, before boarding a canoe or trying your luck at fishing. After an afternoon spent at your leisure, transfer back to the pier and then to Khao Lak by road.
