Located on the east coast the province of Phang Nga, Kohkhao Island, is just a 15-minute boat ride from hotel in Khao Lak. Head to the old airport that dates back to the Second World War, now home to numerous species of exotic birds. Enjoy some morning bird watching and a swim either before or after a delicious Thai lunch on the beach. In the afternoon, board a long tail boat to discover the birds that inhabit the mangrove forest and then en-route back to your hotel, visit the Tsunami Memorial in Baan Naam Keam.
