From Bagan we head to Mandalay and explore the surrounding former capitals with a visit to Sagaing, where 600 white painted pagodas and monasteries are home to 3,000 monks and 100 meditation centers. After lunch its time to continue your tour of Myanmar with a visit to Ava and U Bein Bridge, a 200 year old teak bridge and the longest of its kind. Watch locals wash a Buddha image at 4.30am in Mandalay before taking a flight to Heho, the gateway to Inle Lake. Spend 3 days exploring the lake and its surroundings with endless opportunities for fantastic photos. From Inle Lake continue to Mawlamein and explore the nearby islands of Shampoo and Bilu before finally returning to Yangon via the elusive Bat Cave of Linnoh Gu in nearby Hpa An.
