When to go?
Bagan, although often humid, is one of Myanmar's driest areas and has a steady climate throughout the year. Rain will hardly interrupt travel plans. Day time temperatures peak during April to September averaging around 32-35 degrees Celsius. During the rest of the year, temperatures hover around 28 ºC during the daytime. Mount Popa, on the other hand affords temperatures that are slightly cooler than the surrounding area.
