When to go?
Myanmar has three main seasons.  The hottest weather is from February to May when temperatures can reach 35 Celcius during the day time. However, it is very dry this time of year.  Rains begin in May and continue through to October, although usually does not hamper touring greatly as the rains tend to be short and heavy rather than all day drizzle.

The best time of year to visit Inle Lake is October to February when the air is cool and dry.  If you are lucky enough to be traveling in Myanmar in October, be sure to inquire about the Phaug Daw Ou Pagoda festival.  This three-week long festival features traditional boat racing, parties, and other events on the water and in the villages.

Where is it?
Inle Lake is located in central Myanmar at the base of the Shan Hills.  The nearest airport is Heho, a 30 kilometer drive from the town of Nyaung Shwe.  From Nyaung Shwe, guests take a 20-minute boat ride to Paradise Inle Resort.  Many of the lake's attractions are a short boat ride away.
