Perched on the northeast bank of Burma's most important lake, Myanmar Treasure Inle is as tranquil as it gets, surrounded by well kept, manicured gardens and with the Shan Hills as background.
The property exudes a traditional feel, exemplified by its wooden make up and Southeast Asian art. The Phaung Daw Oo Buddha and the local floating market are easily accessible by boat. Visitors can also enjoy the local flavor with easy boat transfers to Intha villages and admire their arts and crafts. Also home to amazing sunrise and sunset views, Myanmar Treasure Inle is one of the lake's best stays.

Each opens up to its own private verandah that gives guests an uninterrupted view of the lake. Who should go? For those looking for peace, tranquility and a taste of rural Burmese life, Inle Lake is certainly a fine spot to go to. Myanmar Treasure Inle certainly emphasizes on those points, with wooden guestrooms that float on stilts above the lake's waters. Some may be put off by the simplicity of the place (no air-conditioning units for example) but this may very well appease those who yearn for a quiet, peaceful and non-descript stay.
When to go? Myanmar has three main seasons. The hottest weather is from February to May when temperatures can reach 35 Celcius during the day time. However, it is very dry this time of year. Rains begin in May and continue through to October, although usually does not hamper touring greatly as the rains tend to be short and heavy rather than all day drizzle. The best time of year to visit Inle Lake is October to February when the air is cool and dry.
Where is it? Myanmar Treasure Inle floats over the waters of Inle Lake close to the Eastern shore. It is 30 minutes by boat to Nyaung Shwe. The lake is served by Heho Airport, itself a 45 minute plane ride from Yangon.
What's not to be missed. A Boat trip around the lake. Cooking class at local Intha family house. Seeing the hopping felines at Jumping Cats Monastery. Visiting Phaung Daw Ou Pagoda. Learning about the crafting skills at the traditional weaving villages.
