OVERVIEW

Help make Bagan a little bit greener with this tree planting excursion. Bagan is one of Myanmar's most arid regions, so get your hands dirty and help prevent erosion, benefit the local farmers and aid in improving the environment.

PROGRAM DETAILS

During your sightseeing tour, stop in a small village near Old or New Bagan. The region from Bagan to Mandalay is considered a 'dry zone' and increasing the tree count in this area will help prevent erosion, benefit the agricultural community and provide shade and shelter for the locals.

With the help of the locals, dig into the ground and plant a sapling. The experience is a memorable one- the interaction with the villagers is great fun- and creates a long-lasting, positive impact on Bagan.

After your visit, Exotissimo will continue to nurture and water these trees until they are fully grown.
