Located a 2-hour drive from Yangon, this guided excursion is a great day out for families or nature lovers.
PROGRAM DETAILS Your Exotissimo guide and driver will meet you at your hotel after breakfast. The drive begins with a trip to Hpalon, situated 96 km north of Yangon. Then we turn off the main road and follow an unsealed logging road (20 km) to Myaing Hay Wun Elephant Camp. Myaing Hay Wun was established in 1986 and occupies and area of 10 acres filled with lush forests and wildlife such as wild boar, barking deer, monitar lizards and various bird species. Amid the quiet, natural forest we'll enjoy lunch at the camp. This afternoon is filled with fabulous activities. Meet the elephants and hand feeding them some bananas and other snacks, then it's time to climb on the back of one of these enormous animals for a jungle trek. We will also have the chance to watch the oozies (elephant handlers) bathe the elephants in the river. After your elephant encounter it is time to return to Yangon, arriving early this evening. (L)
