Luang Prabang - Pakou Cave - Luang prabang - VientianeA spectacular tour of Laos that every photography lover should experience. Whether you are new to photography or a qualified professional, Gunther Deichmann can pass on his expertise to help you get that extra special shot in the inspirational land of Laos. An expert at working with light and creating stunning photos, Gunther has travelled to numerous countries and built a comprehensive photo library of spellbinding work. Commencing in Luang Prabang, a romantic city that can be explored on foot and ideal for architectural photography, guests visit the former Royal Palace that is now the National Museum before touring a number of local Wats. These include the 5 tiered Wat Mai with golden bas reliefs, Wats Sene with its golden facade and Wat Xieng Thong. Continue your tour of Laos with a visit to the elusive Pak Ou caves along the Mekong River by boat. Locally referred to as Tam Ting, these two caves are carved out of towering limestone cliffs and contain thousands of lacquered Buddha statues. A trip to the elephant camp just outside Luang Prabang allows the chance to ride on the back of an elephant in lush natural surroundings. From the elephant camp we transfer to the amazing waterfalls of Tad Sae to relax and unwind, or even go for a swim. We depart Luang Prabang and head to Vientiane to absorb the charm of this quaint capital and its impressive religious structures that include Wat Phra Keo and Patuxay monument. A full day guided tour uncovers the hidden charms of this capital, finishing with a gentle stroll along the banks of the Mekong.
