The intimate Inthira offers just eight rooms in two categories. The ‘Wat Phou Twin Rooms’ are situated in traditional Lao-style houses while the ‘Champanakone Doubles’ are two-story duplex suites.  Both categories of rooms feature high ceilings, large bathrooms with bathtubs, and Lao textiles.  In addition, the Champanakone rooms feature panoramic windows and balconies which are perfect locations for sunset viewing.

Guests can relax with delicious cocktails and cuisine at the Inthira’s restaurant and bar. Facing a quiet main street, the split-level restaurant is situated in a restored 100 year old traditional Chinese shop house. Who should go?
Nestled in the heart of Laos’ Champasak province, the Ithira is the perfect base location for those wishing to explore the area and the remarkable Wat Phou.  Its modern, boutique rooms are suitable for all travelers who desire a stylish and comfortable stay.  The small town location is ideal for experiencing rural Laos’ beauty and is fitting for those seeking a peaceful get-away.

When to go?
From November to February the weather in Laos is cool and dry while March to June sees temperatures soaring in to the high 30s (Celsius). July to October tend to be very rainy, washing out some roads thus making rural areas inaccessible.

If you happen to be in Champasak in February, you may catch the Wat Phou festival. Based on the lunar calendar, this religious celebration draws thousands of Laos and foreign pilgrims who come to pray and pay respect to the temple. Although the festival is a fascinating time to visit, room availability may be limited so plan accordingly.

Where is it?
Inthira Hotel is situated 8 kilometers from Wat Phou Temple in the Champasak district of Southern Laos. The busy town of Pakse is 40 kilometers away and the Pakse International Airport is 50 kilometers. The Inthira is also located near Laos’ 4000 Island region and the scenic Boloven Plateau.

What's not to be missed?
Tour of Wat Phou. Watching the sunset from the Inthira’s balcony. Strolling around the surrounding town, a typical rural Laos village. A boat ride along the Mekong River. Sampling the local cuisine and Beer Lao. Cycling through nearby villages and farms.

What's cooking?

The Inthira’s restaurant serves up a variety of international favorites and local delights. A sister restaurant of Vientiane’s popular Khop Chai Deu restaurant, the menu features a great selection of freshly prepared dishes.
