OVERVIEW A great way to explore and get better acquainted with bustling Tokyo is on a private bike tour. Discover the sights and sounds of the capital and take to two wheels with an excursion to the Tokyo Bay area, home to the world's biggest fish market and the Imperial Palace. Alternatively pay a visit to bygone Tokyo when you cycle the streets of 'Edo' where the skyscrapers and flashing lights of the city give way to centuries old shop-houses, traditional architecture and manicured parks.
PROGRAM DETAILS Participants will need to make their own way to the start point, which is located in central Tokyo. Comprehensive directions will be provided. There are two different itineraries you can choose from:
Tokyo Bay Ride A ride through Tokyo's bay area, including visits to Tsukiji Fish Market, Tokyo Tower and the Imperial Palace, as well as a boat ride on the Sumida River. (L)
Old Tokyo Ride A ride through history on the streets of 'Edo' (Old Tokyo). This course takes us away from the bright lights and big buildings of as we cycle through the Ryogoku sumo district, and the 'shitamachi' (old town) districts of Ueno and Asakusa, (L)
1% of the fare will be donated to 'One percent for the planet' project.
