OVERVIEW

Covert agents specializing in unorthodox arts of war, Ninjas were contrasting figures to Samurai's with their underground methods of war. This day-tour delves into the fascinating rituals and practices of the Ninja, inviting participants to don traditional costume, engage in meditation and learn the basic skills of the ninja. A fascinating opportunity that offers both mental and physical stimulation.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Ninja, also known as Shinobi, were spies and assassins, masters of stealth and disguise in feudal Japan. They were members of a secret society about which very little was known.

Today, you will enter the secret world of the ninja, learning their secrets, fighting techniques and abilities.

After making your way to our Dojo in central Tokyo, you will be fitted in Dogi (training clothes).

Before the lesson begins, it is important that your mind is calm and undisturbed, so we must practice meditation and Kujikiri (the practice of using hand gestures to strengthen the mind).

Once we are mentally prepared, it is time to commence training.

We begin with the most famous of Ninja weaponry, Shuriken, commonly known as ninja stars.

After we are warmed up, you can choose one of the following ninja skills to learn:

• Grappling
• Self defence
• Jutte truncheon
• Armor donning
• Iai swordmanship
• Rope or chain techniques
• Shintai-sosa (body operation)

After the lesson finishes, our representative will assist you with making your way back to your hotel

Tour starts/disbands at Tabata Station

Please inform us of your height in advance so we can arrange for an appropriate sized Dogi.
