When to go? 
Like most of Indonesia, East Java has two main seasons. It is best visited during the dry season from May to September when the air is clear and temperatures pleasant. Ijen Resort and Villas is located in the eastern part of Java island in Indonesia. The province’s administrative capital and airport, Surabaya, is a six hour drive away. To reach Bali, boats leave several times from Ketapang, a 45 minute drive away. The boat then takes one hour to cross to Gilimanuk in Bali.
