OVERVIEW Find and experience the underwater world of Tulamben. Tulamben has become Bali's most famous diving area and therefore where you are most likely to meet internationally recognised underwater photographers and writers. Tulamben Bay, like the rest of Bali, is situated in the richest marine biogeographic zone in the world. Being on the north-east coast, the bay receives very plankton-rich waters from the major ocean current that moves from the Pacific to the Indian Ocean.
You will be picked up in the morning from your lobby hotel around 07.00 - 07.30, proceed to the Tulamben, the sleepy village on the north east coast of Bali. The drive takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes (depends Hotel location) The personal instructor will welcome you and provide safe briefing and demonstrate some techniques. The main attraction is the wreck of the USS Liberty, famous for the amazing variety of marine life found here. There are many sites that can be choose in this area such as a great drop off at glance, coral garden, shark points and a deep coral reef. Tulamben is the best place for night dive in Bali and you can take an unforgettable sunrise dive. It's suitable for all levels and generally the temperatures around 27° or 28°. No currents here, it's very mild and with black volcanic sandy. Usually very calm flat surface though in full moon. Toilet and shower are available and lunch will be served at the end of the activities. Note: We recommend wearing shorts and swimming gear, hat and sunscreen. Bring a change of clothes for after the lesson.
