Discover why the Gili Islands are becoming one of Asia's 'must see' destinations with this full day excursion from Lombok to Gili Trawangan. You'll experience the various landscapes of the island from the green hills to the turquoise seas and have plenty of time to enjoy the pristine waters and sands of the island. And with no motorized traffic and few tourists, this island is ideal location for relaxing.

PROGRAM DETAILS

This morning, around 08:45 - 09:15, you will be picked up by your guide and driver and transferred to the boat pier at either Teluk Kode or Bangsal Harbor.

Along the way, stop at Malimbu Hill. This viewpoint offers one of the island's most enchanting panoramas where you can see the turquoise waters and green hills of Lombok as well as the distant Gili Islands dotting the sea to the west. Keep your eyes open for monkeys who inhabit the big trees at Malimbu and are often seen swinging from the branches.

Having seen a distant view of Gili Trawangan from the hilltop, descend by car to the nearby harbor where a traditional-style motorboat will take you to Gili Trawangan Island. This tranquil island is quite small and is free from motorized vehicles, creating a peaceful atmosphere ideal for a getaway.

Spend the day lounging on the beach, swimming in the clear waters or snorkeling. The sea around Gili Trawangan is home to a multitude of fish varieties as well as turtles. There are also horse carts available if you are interested in taking a short tour of the island and its interior. (This activity is not included however can be arranged for an additional cost.)

Midday, take a break from your beach activities for lunch. (boxed picnic lunch)

After getting your fill of sea and sun, this afternoon the boat will depart for the journey back to Lombok.  You'll return to either Teluk Kodek or Bangsal Harbour where a car will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel. (L)
