In the afternoon you experience a bird's eye view of the temple and others including Angkor Wat as a microlight takes you up into the sky. Afterwards it's time to explore the biggest religious temple in the world, Angkor Wat. Navigate its surroundings by tuk tuk then enter to stand in awe at its intricate stone carvings and bas-reliefs. Finish the day with a glass of champagne sat in the grounds of this majestic temple. Your tour of Cambodia now heads into the jungle to reveal the spiritual and incredible Beng Mealea. This famously photographed site is a temple now overgrown by trees and smaller plants. Roots are intertwined with crumbling architectural stonework to create stirring natural sculptures. Visit local communities as you head back to your hotel. These may include villages that specialize in rice paper production, Palm wine, Palm sugar or head to the land mine museum that also serves as a center for amputee children. No visit to Siem Reap is complete without visiting Tonle Sap Lake, Southeast Aisa's largest freshwater lake. See the iconic floating houses and those on stilts that become submerged during the wet season. Learn about life on the lake as you head to a traditional lake village. Day 1 - Arrive Siem Reap
Siem Reap is your base for exploring the world famous Angkor Wat temple complex which awaits discovery. Settle into your hotel and freshen up then it's off to see some temples in this ancient capital before receiving a private blessing ceremony from Buddhist monks in one of the Roluos Pagodas. Head to Beng Mealea, an un-restored overgrown temple that visitors are allowed to climb and wonder through in the heart of the Cambodian countryside. Continue to the temple of Banteay Srey, a unique temple constructed of pink sandstone before finishing at the landmine museum. Overnight in Siem Reap. Day 4 - Siem Reap (B)
Visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom and Bayon Temple in the center of the ancient city. Take a boat across Tonle Sap lake and learn about life on the vast expanse of water. See houses on stilts, floating houses and flooded forests. Overnight in Siem Reap. Day 5 - Departure Siem Reap (B)Today you visit the temples of the Grand Circuit, starting at Preah Khan. In the afternoon head to Artisans d'Angkor that supports Cambodian arts and crafts and see how many goods are created. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure until the transfer to the airport for your individual departure flight.
