Siem Reap receives heavy rain from May to October.  The hottest months are March to May where temperature highs can reach well over 35 degrees Celsius.  The hot and rainy seasons in Siem Reap corresponds with the city's low tourist season, making bookings easier and tourist attractions less crowded.  The best months to visit are December to February, when Siem Reap is a little cooler and receives the least amount of rainfall.  However, it is also the city's high tourist season.
