Hotel Cambodiana - Phnom Penh - Overview
One of the capital’s first hotels, Hotel Cambodiana Phnom Penh continues to live up to its established reputation by offering clean, modern rooms in the center of Phnom Penh.

With spectacular views over the Tonle River and ample onsite facilities, the 284-room hotel is a reliable choice for business and leisure travelers.

Comfortable yet practical, the five storey Hotel Cambodiana houses supremely clean and spacious rooms and suites with large windows offering captivating views of the cityscape or river. The rooms are split into four categories ranging from 35 to 97 square meters, each of which blends modern amenities and traditional décor to create a relaxing environment. The Deluxe Rooms, at the smallest end of the scale, epitomize modern practicality while those seeking the highest standards should opt for the luxurious suites on the Executive Floor which feature kitchen and living areas as well as marble bathrooms.

Since its opening in 1962, Hotel Cambodiana has undergone several renovations to maintain the initial vision of being an international-standard resort property. Over the years, a range of facilities have been added to the property including four restaurants, a tennis court, health club, spa, business center and banquet facilities. And after a day of touring it is the outdoor, riverside pool that is the most welcoming place for a refreshing swim or a sunset cocktail.

The Hotel Cambodiana occupies an enviable location, making it one of the most convenient stays in Phnom Penh. Within walking distance are the Royal Palace and National Museum, two of the city's main sites, and other sites such as the Russian Market and the Killing Fields are a short drive away. Also nearby, within walking distance, is the bustling riverfront area of Sisowath Quay, filled with shops, cafes and bars.

Hotel Cambodiana offers all of the facilities and comforts of an international standard property, making it a top choice for luxury and business travelers to Phnom Penh. And with its enviable riverside location, it is no wonder the capital's first hotel continues to be one of its most popular.

Who should go?
Our advice: Hotel Cambodiana Phnom Penh is the perfect stay for travelers seeking an international-standard hotel in the center of Phnom Penh. The range of room types, array of on-site facilities and central location result in a comfortable stay for both business and leisure travelers. Although the service is friendly, Hotel Cambodiana lacks the intimacy of a boutique property so couples looking for a romantic, quiet getaway may wish to look elsewhere.

When to go?
Phnom Penh's rainy season is from May until October with the dry season starting in November and lasting until March.  The city is hot and humid all year round but November to January are the best months to visit, with the temperature at its coolest and humidity at its lowest.  However, is it also the city's major tourist season so bookings should be made well in advance. The rains in the rainy season are usually heavy but short.  It also corresponds with the city's low tourist season, making bookings easier and prices cheaper than the dry season.
