When to go?

The climate in Phnom Penh can be separated as wet or dry.  From May to October, monsoons blow inland, making these months the wettest of the year.  Temperatures can reach as high as 40 °C and is accompanied by high humidity.   The rains are heavy but short.  These times also correspond with the city's low tourist season, which makes bookings much easier.  The dry season lasts from November to April with some days experiencing cool temperatures while others seeing some very hot days.  Weather-wise, November to January are the best times to visit.  However, this is also the high tourist season, so bookings should be made well in advance.
