Bangkok - Khao Yai - Gaeng Hin Poeng - Sa Kaew - Soi Dao Travel through southern Thailand on two wheels as you discover the natural beauty of this area. Cycle through lush countryside and small villages, trek through dense jungles filled with wildlife, swim in cascading waterfalls, and relax on sandy beaches. This week long tour exposes you the country's most beautiful landscapes! Depart from Bangkok and head to Khao Yai National Park, where you will trek amongst the park's many trails, keeping your eyes out for huge hornbills, monkeys, and other indigenous animals. Soak in the fresh air as you enjoy lunch beside the spectacular Haew Suwat Waterfall. Your journey continues as you spend the next three days cycling through rural Thailand. Traveling along minor roads and the occasional dirt path, you will explore small villages, meet friendly locals, and see stunning scenery. From Khao Yai, pedal your way along the Khao Ta Leo mountains toward the riverside town of Gaeng Hinh Poeng. The next two days are spent riding along the Thai/Cambodian border toward the town of Soi Dao. Along the way, you will stop at waterfalls, local markets, and anywhere you wish to stop for a rest or a photo opportunity. Soi Dao wildlife area is the perfect place for another trek where you will have the chance to explore its wide mountain streams and refreshing waterfalls. The last stop on your journey is Koh Chang, Thailand's second largest island. Upon reaching your beach front hotel, you have time to explore the island at your leisure. Lined with white sandy beaches and clear blue waters, yet having a dense forest interior, this island is ideal for exploring or relaxing. Day 1 - Bangkok - Khao Yai (L,D)
Transfer to Khao Yai National Park where you will explore the park's trekking trails with qualified park ranger. Reach the wildlife watching tower and spend some time watch for wildlife endemic to the area such as deer, monkeys, porcupines, hornbills and lots of wild cats and bears. Khoa Yai has the largest wild elephant population in Thailand and you are very likely to see wild elephants. Enjoy packed lunch in the jungle before driving to Heaw Suwat Waterfall where you will have the opportunity to swim. In the late afternoon return to the resort for relaxation and dinner. (Trekking: 2 hours.)

This morning cycle along minor roads, byways and the occasional dirt trail through one of the most scenic areas in Thailand. Heading south and east we cut in between Khao Yai and Khao Ta Leo mountains, and reach Ta Kraw Waterfall for a delicious Thai picnic. After lunch, the ride continues along country backloads until the late afternoon when you arrive at your resort nestled on the river bank at Gaeng Hin Poeng. (Cycling: 60 km.)

Day 3 - Gaeng Hin Poeng - Sa Kaew (B,L,D)
After breakfast, begin cycling from the resort following minor roads through Thai rural landscapes. Although the terrain is mostly flat, this is an interesting ride through agricultural villages. Along the way, stop often to chat to friendly locals or sample delicious Thai snacks. (Cycling: 60 - 90 km.)

In the morning ride from Sa Kaew to Soi Dao, a small town near the Cambodian border. The day's ride follows minor roads amidst more stunning scenery. (Cycling: 60 - 90 km.)

Day 5 - Soi Dao - Koh Chang (B,L)
In the morning, a short transfer takes you to Soi Dao wildlife area. Covering a wide stretch of mountain ranges close to the Cambodian border, this area is a source of many streams and waterfalls such as Nam Took Khao Soi Dao where you can relax and swim. From the waterfalls, enjoy a short trek along Phu Soi Dao and appreciate this natural wilderness area. From there, transfer to Trad province to catch a ferry boat to Ao Sapparot in Koh Chang. A short drive takes you to your hotel for the evening. (Trekking: 2 ½ hours)

Today is at your leisure to explore Koh Chang, Thailand's second largest island. With long, white sandy beaches, as well as a central jungle area, there are lots of options for your free time. Snorkel or swim amongst the clear blue waters, go for a jungle trek in the dense forest area, or simply relax on the beach.

Day 7 - Koh Chang - Bangkok (B)
After breakfast at hotel, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and transfer you by air-conditioned vehicle to catch the boat to Trad. From there, continue by road back to Bangkok.
