Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive Bangkok – Transfer to hotel
This afternoon, visit Bangkok’s spectacular Grand Palace*. This famous palace complex features several magnificent buildings, and houses Thailand’s most revered Buddha image. Continue to the little known Lak Muang, city pillar shrine, before enjoying a performance of Lakorn, a traditional Thai dance.

Evening at leisure.

*Appropriately modest dress is required, no shorts or flip-flops

Day 2 – Bangkok (B)
In the morning, explore the serene canals north of Bangkok, and experience the unchanging rhythm of life in the Thai countryside. Boat along villages, fields and farms, and visit an agricultural cooperative and traditional Thai house. Continue north to the charming pottery island of Koh Kret, home to one of Thailand’s oldest Mon settlements. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Ancient Mon pottery village.

Afternoon free at leisure.

Day 3 –Bangkok (B)
Morning free for you to explore the city.

In the afternoon cross the river at Klong Toey port to embark on an amazing bicycle tour* of the area known locally as The Bangkok Jungle. Ride though local communities and a delightful floating market. Visit an incense workshop for refreshments, and a unique teak temple built over 250 years ago. Return to your hotel by traditional longtail boat.

Day 4 – Depart Bangkok (B)
Transfer to the airport with your guide (time to be confirmed the day before).
