Accommodation in Thailand
We personally inspect every hotel. We classify accommodation according to our unique system. Our absolute favourites are listed as: 'Charming Hotelsâ€. These are sometimes not five-star rated, but they have unique atmospheres and exceptional qualities that set them above the rest.
We then use more traditional categories for all accommodation: Super Deluxe, Deluxe, Superior, First Class and Standard. These categories generally match the star rating system (with Super Deluxe rated as 5 star plus, Deluxe as 5 star and so on). However, it is important to be aware that hotels in Thailand need not comply with international regulations in order to label themselves as 'five-starâ€. You cannot be guaranteed of a certain standard by taking the star ratings at face value.
