Day 1 - Arrival in Pakse - Bolavens Plateau - Pakse (B)
Be charmed by the small-town feel of Pakse, the most important town in Southern Laos located at the confluence of Mekong and Sedone River. Head to Bolavens Plateau to enjoy the spectacular view of cascading waterfalls in lush greenery at Tad Lo and Tad Fane Waterfalls followed by visits to tea and coffee plantations, where you will get a chance to savor the famous Lao coffee.
Overnight at Pakse Hotel in Pakse.
Following breakfast, you will visit the pre-Angkorian temple of Wat Phou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with stunning architectural flavors. Return to Champassak to explore the French colonial architecture dotting the town. In the afternoon, enjoy elephant riding up to Ban Kiet Ngong, a hillside village in Mount Asa which overlooks the biodiversity-rich Xe Pian Protected Area before driving to Khong Island (Siphandon), an intricate and beautiful network of 4000 islands and islets.

Day 3 - Khong Island - Pakse (B)
Today, you will visit the peaceful islands of Done Det and Done Khone for a glimpse of the only railway ever built in Laos during the French colonization. Head for the Lippi Waterfalls, a local sacred site believed to trap bad spirits followed by the majestic Khone Papheng which is considered the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia. In the evening, stop by the evening market and pick up some local handicrafts.

After breakfast, you can choose to transfer to the Thai border or to the airport for your onward flight.
