Let me sum up some beautiful places to visit in Laos, the places you should not miss. If you come to Vientiane and miss seeing That Luang Stupa, it means that you haven’t arrived in Vientiane yet.
The best ranked places to visit in Laos should be started from the North to South where you will receive the completed feeling of Laos. Therefore, enthusiastic visitors should leave Huoy Say by boat down river to Luang Prabang where you will see the symbol of Luang Prabang town, Mount Phousi, and continue by road down to Vientiane for temple visits and historical sites. On the way you can stop off for Phonsavanh home of the Plain of Jars- the word of famous on big stone jars. Then, you will continue to Vientiane, the capital of Laos, to see historical sites and learn the history of Laos. Finally, you will enjoy the Khon Pha Pheng and Lipi water falls, well-known around the world.
For the climber and adventure lover, they should not miss the mountains in Vang Vieng, and the new climber sites in the center of Laos (Bolikhamxay province and its border with Khammuane) where river floats through Kong Lor Cave. Here you can enjoy the fresh weather, Lao tribe “Tai man”, and Lao traditional house styles.
However, if you don’t come and see it yourself you will never know what people are saying!
Good luck!

Hello Xang,
I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed our trip with you from Houey Say to Luang Prabang. Thank you for your kindness, your help with everything from food to happy rooms, your good company and your music.
I have so many good memories of our experiences, the hardest things often make the best memories. I especially enjoyed our trek with Soiyae to the Akha villages. I found the walking challenging but well worth it.
I have made some Lao food for my husband since I have been back in Australia - he really likes Larp Gai, spring rolls and fish soup. I want to make him some pho. I have been finding recipes on the internet for the things I want to try.
We loved your city of Luang Prabang - what a beautiful place to live.
We ended our trip with some time in Vietnam but we all agreed that we had fallen in love with your country of Laos. I am sure that having you as a guide was a big part of what made our trip so enjoyable.
Best wishes to you and your family,
Rosemary Ward (Romey)

Dear Miss Thuy,
I am sorry it has taken me so long to write to you. I have been back for one week but have been very busy here moving my daughter into her own flat.
I want to thank you very much for organising our trip for us. We both loved it very much.
You have a very special and beautiful country. I would very much like to see Sapa next year so if it is possible, I will contact you.
If you can think of any other place in Vietnam that I would find interesting, please let me know. I will always, if possible, stop over in Hoi Ann because I think that is the loveliest place ever.
Thanks once again,
Best regards,
Diane
