Angkorland Hotel

In September, Siem Reap saw the opening of the Angkorland Hotel, a 4-star hotel that features 46 superior and 19 deluxe guest rooms, four executive suites, and one presidential suite. The cosy and comfortable rooms feature signature-design furniture made from local wood and modern amenities, including personal safes, satellite television, mini-bars and Internet access. Facilities include Asian and western cuisine at the Brasserie Restaurant, the Oasis Bar, an outdoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi, a fitness centre, a souvenir shop and a business centre. Weddings, private functions and meetings can be organised at the top-level Amara Hall, which is equipped with the latest audio-visual facilities.

FCC Angkor Hotel

With 29 luxurious guest rooms and two suites, the newly opened FCC Angkor Hotel and its established FCC Angkor Bar and Restaurant is set to become one of Cambodia’s premier retreats. Located alongside the river and a short ride away from the Angkor Wat temples, the hotel is hidden in a setting of trees and aromatic gardens. The rooms and suites, with pool or garden views, are equipped with cable televisions, broadband Internet connection, DVD players and modern amenities. Facilities include an outdoor salt-water swimming pool, select retail outlets and the boutique spa treatment centre, Visaya.

La Maison D'Angkor

The 12 deluxe bungalow-style rooms at the La Maison D’Angkor are equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, cable television, mini-bars, personal safes and en-suite bathrooms, and decorated with local fabrics and traditional crafts. Located ten minutes from Angkor Wat, the hotel features an infinity-edge swimming pool, an outdoor dining area that offers Asian and western food, a library, and a souvenir shop.

In May, the 3-star Lucky Angkor Hotel opened in Siem Reap with 57 guest rooms equipped with air conditioning and other modern conveniences. Facilities include a swimming pool, lounge, gymnasium, spa and business centre, and the open-air Lucky Café, which serves Cambodian, Asian and western cuisine.

Sokha Angkor Hotel & Spa

The 5-star Sokha Angkor Hotel & Spa, located in the heart of Siem Reap and within walking distance of the Old Market Place, is scheduled to open at the end of this year. It is a modern mix of art deco and Khmer influences low-rise architecture with the finest Angkor sculptural carpentry and stone craftsmanship. It features an outdoor swimming pool, a gymnasium, a spa, Internet access and four function rooms, including a grand ballroom that can accommodate up to 350 guests. There are 274 guestrooms and facilities include four distinctly-themed bars and restaurants serving Asian, western and Japanese specialties.
