On 19^th and 20^th November, the site near the Angkor temples in Siem Reap will be the scene of the 10^th annual Angkor Wat International Half Marathon 2005, a charity event that raises money to provide artificial limbs for victims of landmines and also to educate the youth from HIV/AIDS.

Men, women and children of any age are invited to register to participate in the short (5-kilometre) and middle (10-kilometre) walks scheduled to start at 06:30 on the 19^th.

On the 20^th the first race, the 21-kilometre wheelchair, is followed by the half marathon for men and women over 16, scheduled to start at 06:40. One male and one female winner will be invited to participate in a marathon in Japan. There will also be a 10-kilometre race for participants with artificial legs, a 10-kilometre road race, a 5-kilometre fun-run for ladies and a 4-kilometre family-run for families of any age.

Kampuchea Airline

In mid-June Cambodia-based Kampuchea Airlines commenced new flights between Phnom Penh and Bangkok once a day, Phnom Penh and Hong Kong three or four times weekly, and Siem Reap and Hong Kong three or four times weekly.

Pending approval from Cambodian officials, Singapore-based low cost carrier Tiger Airways is making plans to operate daily flights to Cambodia.
