Hotel additions

Asia Pacific Hotel

In October, the 3-star Asia Pacific Hotel will open in Nha Trang with 100 guest rooms and suites equipped with air conditioning, complimentary high-speed Internet access, satellite television, mini-bars, personal safes and solar-powered water heaters. Facilities include a beauty salon and  swimming pool.

Between 120 and 150 rooms will be available at the Bai But Tourism Complex’s 4-star hotel in Danang when it is completed in 2007. The 19 million USD complex will also house a sports centre and entertainment facilities over 30 hectares.

24 million USD will be invested in the Da Ong Dia Resort in Phan Thiet. When completed, it will house a 10-storey hotel, private villas, a golf course and swimming pools on 130 hectares of land.

The proposed Flamingo Dai Lai Resort in Vinh Phuc Province, 40 kilometres from Hanoi, will encompass 100 hectares of land, of which 18 hectares will house 500 guest villas equipped with 5-star facilities. The resort, which is currently looking for investors, will also house several man-made lakes, trees and many trails for hiking or biking.

Construction on the 5-star InterContinental Hotel began in Hanoi in 1994 but was stopped in its tracks four years later by the financial crisis in Asia. After a few more tries to restart the project and delays in construction, the hotel is expected to be completed in early 2007. It will house 327 luxurious guest rooms and modern facilities and be situated on the banks of West Lake.

The Ki-em Art House Resort is located in Khanh Hoa Province, 50 kilometres north of Nha Trang and near to Van Phong Bay. It offers a secluded and relaxing place for relaxation, swimming, reading and meditation. Facilities and services include nine guest rooms, a gift shop, a café, an art gallery, a conference hall, and art workshops with the resort owner and artist, Ki-em.

Novotel Garden Plaza

The Novotel Garden Plaza Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City has just completed a 3 million USD project to construct 55 new Orchid Club rooms, a Novotel BIZ Lounge and the Lobby Lotus Bar. The new deluxe rooms feature large work desks, spacious bathrooms, stylish furniture and comfortable bedding.

The Tan Da Spa Resort in Ba Vi stretches over 30 hectares and offers guest houses equipped with air conditioning and modern amenities. Facilities include a swimming pool filled with mineral water sourced from underground, a spa that makes use of the area’s hot springs and high-grade mud baths, an 18-hectare lake, dining venues, and entertainment facilities.

In early 2006, Quang Nam Province will see the opening of The Nam Hai, a 5-star resort that will feature 50 private villas, a 60-room hotel and entertainment facilities.

Topas Eco Lodge

Sapa’s Topas Eco Lodge reopened in August following the completion of repairs to its bungalows and restaurant.

More than 70 guest rooms are available at the Tourane My Khe Hotel in Danang. The hotel features a restaurant that accommodates up to 1,000 diners, recreation facilities, a swimming pool and a convention hall.
