Shanghai Airlines flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Shanghai were increased from two times weekly to five times weekly in April, due to high demand.

In mid-June, Thai AirAsia began offering flight services between Hanoi and Bangkok seven times a week.

Tiger Airways flights to and from Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore are now available four times weekly, as well as three weekly flights between Hanoi and Singapore.

In late March, Vietnam Airlines added a new service to connect Chu Lai and Hanoi. On 20th June, flights between Vietnam and Germany were available. Direct flights to and from Hanoi and Frankfurt fly from Mondays to Thursdays, while flights to and from Ho Chi Minh City and Frankfurt fly on Saturdays.
