Air Sahara

Bali-based Air Paradise International began flying to Bangkok from Denpasar and vice versa on 26th May.

In late March, Air Sahara began offering flights from Bangkok to Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai, and vice versa two, three and four times weekly, respectively.

Bangkok Airways is now offering non-stop flights between Koh Samui and Hong Kong three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Also available are once weekly flights between Bangkok and Zhengzhou and twice weekly flights between Bangkok and Hangzhou. In October, the airline will also be flying between Koh Samui and Kuala Lumpur.

On 1st June, United Arab Emirates-based Etihad Airways began offering daily flights to Bangkok.

On 23rd March, twice weekly flights between Bangkok and Singapore were available from Jetstar Asia. To accommodate this new Bangkok route, flights to and from Pattaya and Singapore were suspended indefinitely.

Twice daily flights to and from Bangkok and Macau were available on 1st July from Nok Air. In the third quarter of this year, the airline will begin flying, two or three times weekly, from Bangkok to Chiang Rai and Surat Thani, and vice versa.

Following the introduction of its February route between Bangkok and Haikou, PB Air launched in April two new routes to China, including a daily service between Bangkok and Shanghai and a five times weekly service to and from Bangkok and Beijing.

In March, Phuket Air introduced new flight services from Bangkok to Kathmandu, Amsterdam and Bali. Each route is operated three times weekly.

In late April, Thai AirAsia began offering daily flights between Bangkok and Xiamen. Beginning 1st May, the airline, along with Nok Air and Orient Thai, added fuel surcharges of 5 USD for domestic flights and at least 10 USD for international flights, depending on the distance travelled.

Koh Samui

Five times weekly non-stop flights between Bangkok and Madrid will be available in July from Thai Airways International (THAI). On 1st May, the airline began offering non-stop flights from Bangkok to New York and vice versa six times weekly on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Ten weekly flights between Bangkok and Beijing were increased to 13 flights weekly, the Bangkok and Manila route increased to 14, and the Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City route increased to 16.
