Exotissimo/Bangkok Airways launch low season specials to Laos and Cambodia

In May and June, Exotissimo Laos, in cooperation with Bangkok Airways, is offering a series of low season set departure group packages at very special rates. All programmes include flights between Bangkok and Luang Prabang, accommodations, all transfers and transportation, an English-speaking guide and entrance fees to sites that are visited. A minimum of two pax is required for each tour.  All rates are net wholesale rates and bookable only through Exotissimo Laos.

Departures for the first programme, priced at 369 USD, are on 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th May and 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th June. The four-day adventure begins in Luang Prabang, with a tour of the city’s attractions, including Wat That, Wat Vi Soun, Wat Aham, Mount Phousi and a local Hmong market. The second day is spent visiting Luang Prabang’s former Royal Palace, the famous Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Mai, and the Phra Bat Thai. On the third day, the group rises in the early morning to view long lines of monks as they wait to receive alms. After breakfast, a slow boat takes the group to the Pak Ou Caves, where thousands of Buddha statues are housed in two sacred caves. At the Kamu Lodge, a new eco-resort built on the banks of the Mekong River, planned activities include rice planting and harvesting, gold panning in the river and forest walks in search of medicinal plants. The journey ends the next day with the group’s return to Bangkok.

Departures for the second programme, priced at 399 USD, are on 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th May and 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th June. The six-day package also begins in Luang Prabang, where three days are spent exploring the city’s sites, including famous wats and temples, the Kuang Si Waterfall and ethnic villages, where the people produce textiles and paper. The last three days are spent at the Pak Ou Caves and the Kamu Lodge before the group departs for Bangkok.

Departures for the third eight-day programme, priced at 799 USD, are on 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th May and 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th June. The group will enjoy a brief orientation tour of the former capital of Lang Xang before climbing the 328 steps to the summit of Mount Phousi and visiting a minority village. Days two and three includes a tour to many of the city’s famous wats and temples, the Kuang Si Waterfall, and handicraft villages. The group then heads to the Pak Ou Caves and the Kamu Lodge before transferring by airplane to Siem Reap, where upon arrival the group will visit small brick temples and Preah Koh. Day seven includes a trip to the Ta Prohm Temple, Banteay Srey Temple, and many other structures in the Angkor complex. The last day, the group will get to see the Preah Khan Temple, Ta Som, and Siem Reap Town before transferring back to Bangkok by airplane.
