FIT travellers no longer need to change 200 USD

Good News for FIT travellers to Myanmar - they no longer need to change 200 USD into FEC200. This new regulation has not been officially announced as yet but as from August, the FEC exchange counter at Yangon Airport has been closed and FIT travellers have been exempted from the compulsory exchange. Travellers are advised to bring cash in USD for their expenses in the country as credit cards and traveller cheques are not accepted at the present time. The Euro is now also accepted in some places.
