EXOTISSIMO TRAVEL LAOS OPENS FOR BUSINESS

Exotissimo Travel Group have completed their network of offices in Indochina with the recent opening of Exotissimo Travel Laos. Headed by long-term Lao resident Alain Daout, Exotissimo Travel Laos has opened offices in Vientiane and Luang Prabang. The opening of Exotissimo Travel Laos will further strengthen the group’s position as one of the leading destination management companies in the Greater Mekong Region. Exotissimo were one of the pioneers of inbound tourism to the region establishing joint-venture companies in Vietnam in 1993, in Myanmar in 1995 and in Cambodia last year. Today Exotissimo Travel Group employ over 200 full-time staff and provide travel arrangements in the Mekong Region for over 20,000 travellers every year. New cable car project for Halong Bay


A new cable car project will soon offer visitors breathtaking views across the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay in northern Vietnam. The cable car will span Yen Tu mountain, a place of Buddhist worship, and there are several pagodas to visit in the area.

Vietnam Airlines buys planes


Vietnam’s national flag carier Vietnam Airlines plans to buy five Airbus A320s from the French jet-making giant Airbus Industrie. The two sides signed a letter of intent on the purchase on 1st September in Hanoi, in the presence of France’s Equipment, Transport and Housing Minister Jean-Claude Gayssot. The Vietnam-France air route is currently serviced six times a week by Vietnam Airline’s Boeing B767-300s and seven times a week by Air France. Vietnam Airlines and Aibus Industrie have also signed contracts to support the airline’s services and maintenance operations for it’s A320s.
