Park Hyatt Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City - Overview
Flawless in its combination of local art and architecture, while keeping its atmosphere intimate and unique place it a head above every other Saigon hotels. Additional touches like offering the highest standards of personalized service in a superbly stylish setting make it no surprise that it is the hotel of choice for visiting celebrities and dignitaries.

The ivory colored colonial style building is surrounded by luscious green lawns creating an understated opulence reminiscent of the times of French Indochina.  Entering the grand lobby, guests are greeted by professional, English-speaking staff, the ladies wearing traditional silk ao dais. Nothing was left to chance in this immaculately detailed hotel.  Rooms are decorated in plush colonial style, with hardwood floors and plenty of space to work, relax or gaze out at the landmark Saigon Opera House.  Plush bathrobes, feather pillows, and state of the art audiovisual equipment are just a few of the features of the rooms.

Facilities include a fully equipped gym, 20 meter swimming pool, and the award-winning Xuan Spa.  With seven private treatment rooms, steam room, and whirlpool, the Spa's experience staff offer top of the line massage and other relaxation techniques.

The hotel's stylish restaurants and bars are garnering awards for their fantastic, innovative cuisine.  Square One was recently named to Conde Nast's 2006 Hot List and features western and Vietnamese cuisine.  An Italian restaurant, Opera, is also a top choice for a fresh, delicious meal.

Who should go?
The Park Hyatt opened in 2008, it was the perfect injection of luxury in the southern city.  Sleek, sophisticated and located in the heart of the city, the Park Hyatt has set the standard for luxury in Vietnam.  While any discerning traveler will be happy here, business travelers will be particularly pleased with the hotel’s facilities as no detail has been left out.  Couples and single travelers will delight in the spacious rooms, professional service, and amenities that the Park Hyatt has to offer while the central location means that no time is wasted in traveling to tourist sites.

When to go?
Although the temperature remains fairly steady throughout the year, Southern Vietnam is marked by two reasons.  The dry season lasts from December to May, while from May to November is the rainy season.  Most of the rain is in the afternoon and only lasts a short time so it is unlikely to disrupt touring plans.  The Chinese new year of Tet is celebrated throughout Vietnam in late January or early February.  During this time, transport options fill up quickly and lots of restaurants and tourist sites are closed so it is not recommended to travel to Vietnam then.

Where is it?
The Park Hyatt occupies a prime piece of property in the buzzing southern city.  Located just behind the Opera House at the end of Le Loi Street, the hotel is perfectly positioned for those traveling for business or pleasure.  The international airport is 7km away, while most of the city’s main shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

What's not to be missed?
Vietnamese cooking class.  Luxurious massage at Xuan Spa. Tour of the city in a Citroen classic car. Breakfast in Bed.  Live jazz at Park Lounge.  Delectable Italian cuisine at Opera.

What's cooking?
The Park Hyatt’s Opera Restaurant has received rave reviews for its traditional Italian cuisine and impressive wine list.  The all-day restaurant is contemporary and casual and features an al fresco dining area which overlooks Lam Son Square.  The menu at Square One is a mix of Vietnamese and Western cuisine, highlighted by its fine selection of local and imported seafood and meats.  The restaurants five show kitchens are complemented by an outdoor terrace, wine bar, and private dining rooms.  For casual bites, or afternoon tea, the Park Lounge is the perfect venue.  Casual during the daytime, but sophisticated in the evening, Park Lounge is ideal for social or business gatherings.
