Who Should go? La Residence is the only place in Hue that has truly earned the title of being luxury from its outstanding facilities to its stylish rooms and suites. Travelers with refined tastes will appreciate the excellent spa treatments and cuisines at La Residence while the quiet location provides an intimate getaway for couples. While children may enjoy the pool, La Residence is not ideal for families as the rooms are a bit small for sharing.
When to go? Central Vietnam's rainy season lasts from the end of September to the beginning of November. Hue's been known to flood, so it is best to avoid the Imperial city during this time.
Where is it? La Residence is at the top end of Le Loi Street in a quiet area on the banks of the Perfume River. Hue’s main sites, such as the Citadel and the Emperor’s Tombs, are a short distance away while the airport is 17 kilometers away.
What's not to be missed? Feast on delicious cuisine at Le Parfum. Cool off with a swim in the salt water pool. Dinner cruise on the Perfume River. Exploring nearby monuments and mausoleums. Relaxing at the end of the day with a cocktail at Le Gouverneur.
What's cooking? Hue is home to Vietnam’s finest cuisine and La Resident’s restaurant Le Parfum is at the forefront of the city’s fine dining scene. Balancing traditional fresh flavors with modern fusion twists, a meal at Le Parfum is a culinary delight! Thank you so much for putting together a trip that I will never forget. My son and I had a wonderful time. Vietnam is such a beautiful, interesting place, and is changing so fast. I'm sure it will be very different when we come back next.
Your itinerary was great, and all of the guides and drivers were completely dependable, helpful, and friendly. The hotels were stupendous, each room more beautiful than the last, and the service uniformly wonderful.
Duong Lam was a high point. Even Tang, our guide, enjoyed it as a special treat. I'd suggest you encourage more tourists to visit. I will tell all my friends about Vietnam and Exotissimo.
Thank you again.
Sincerely,
David Lindy Vietnam - April 2009

One of the great aspects about my job is that each summer I have the opportunity of going on research trips to discover and learn about new travel destinations. I really love to travel around Vietnam and am always amazed by the fascinating culture my beautiful country has to offer.
My last trip took me to the Mekong Delta where I witnessed a local lady rowing a small sampan boat while wearing a traditional "Ao ba ba" outfit. I was so impressed by the image of her graceful beauty, and the local Mekong Delta shirt she was wearing as it was the most charming costume I had ever seen in the region. In fact, I liked it so much that when I returned to Ho Chi Minh City, I decided to have one tailor-made for myself and now I really love wearing it with a pair of jeans when I go out with my friends!
So naturally, I am now really looking forward to my next Mekong trip so that I can enjoy more of it's inspiring cultural beauty... and maybe make some more fashionable local-style clothing!

Dear Trung,
We enjoyed the tour very much and thank you for the organization, which went smoothly and exceptionally well. We met some very interesting people in the group, one of whom highly recommended Exotissimo as a Tour Operator and we totally agree. So I decided to login on the Exotissimo website and we will do some other tours with your agency. At the moment we are thinking about Laos or Myanmar.
Well, Vietnam has positively surprised us and we recommended a visit to our friends we have had contact with since our return. Vietnam is a very nice country with a lot to show at all kinds of things: Beaches, culture, history and so on. Special thanks and warm regards to you and please also pass our thanks to all the people who helped organize this trip and the guides.
The decision to stay at Phu Quoc Saigon Resort was exactly the right one. It was a resort, where we could summarize the memories of the trip and really relax. Again thanks and we wish you all the best.
