The Library - Koh Samui - Overview
The aura of serenity that enshrouds the Library is in stark contrast with the surrounding (and swinging) Chaweng Beach in Koh Samui.

With its avant-garde design and bold use of colours, this new conceptual resort exudes contemporary style and is bound to get into the good books of any discerning guest.

Minimalist decor define the 13 Studios and 13 Suites while the plasma TV and iMac computer in each unit further strengthen the chic spirit of the Library. The hotel literally lives up to its name with its wide array of books and DVDs in its signature library, and old preserved trees and ample statues poring over books are scattered across the lush premises.

Design flows into the crimson-tiled pool that cuts an iconic image against the backdrop of the azure sea. A sophisticated offering of Thai and Western specialties, together with a fine selection of wines, makes any meal a culinary journey at The Page restaurant.

Defining new standards of hipster chic, other hotels may be inspired to take a page out of The Library's book.

Who should go?
A contrast from the vibrant Chaweng Beach where it is situated, The Library stands out as an oasis of tranquility and calm. The boutique resort is comprised of discreet buildings scattered across its lush sprawling compound. Adhering to its literary theme, each unit is referred to as pages or chapters. The ground-floor suites are fitted with Jacuzzis and open-air living rooms while studio units open into ocean views on the second floor. An outpost of minimalist elegance and modernity, The Library provides guests with a chic retreat experience just minutes away from the crowds.

When to go?
Dry and pleasant weather is usually experienced between December and June, so this is the best time to visit Koh Samui. For July and August, the weather is generally pleasant but can be unpredictable at times. September and October usually see heavy rains on the island. Temperatures average around 27ºC all year round.

Where is it?
The Library is set on the bustling Chaweng Beach on the east coast of Koh Samui. The airport is a short 15-minute drive away.

What's not to be missed?
A swim in the striking red pool. Enjoy an intelligent read in the white library building. Tune in to your favorite music on the iMac. Watch a movie on the plasma screen TV. Sip a glass of wine at the bar. Dine at the beachfront restaurant.

What's cooking?
Discover a new dining experience at The Library’s beachfront restaurant cum bar, The Page, which serves Thai and international cuisine and a good selection of wine. Guests can enjoy a delightful al fresco dinner with views of the sea and striking red pool. Or head to the wooden deck and indulge in a scrumptious cocktail on the comfortable sun loungers. The elegant and stylish design will surely complement any meal.
