The Amanpuri - Phuket - Overview
Amanpuri Phuket Resort, its name means "Place of Peace" and it wears the title well. Twenty years ago the resort had been created by Aman as the flagship resort on a cream beach in a mature coconut grove on the island of Phuket. And guests here always feel nourished, enriched and rejuvenated.

Twenty years ago Aman created its flagship resort Amanpuri on a cream beach in a mature coconut grove on the island of Phuket. So began a journey of exploration, determination and sheer passion, dedicated to extending the 'family' to lands where the mind has often 'wondered', in order to create experiences in contemporary comfort, where the sum of the parts determine a nourished, enriched, and rejuvenated whole. The evolution of Aman's genesis continues to flourish with 18 individual and uniquely sculpted resorts, nestled in remarkably beautiful places, from sunrise to sunset.

Tranquil pavilions, villas and pools play hide-and-seek amongst lush palm groves. Terraced stone steps run down a jungle hillside to a secluded beach. Out to the horizon, the turquoise blue of the Andaman Sea collides with the brilliant violets and purples of a Phuket sunset. This is the essence of the Amanpuri.

Its name means "Place of Peace" and it wears the title well. Guests don't book into this resort so much as they book an escape from the hectic outside world into one of private pools, private Thai salas, a discreet cliff-side spa and exotic, open-air yoga sessions with every sunrise.

Cruise out for a PADI-accredited dive with the docile leopard sharks, brilliant sea anemones and moray eels of Shark Point. Spend the night at sea in the resort's luxurious 90-foot Maha Bhetra yacht after a day wandering the markets of Phuket Town. Or simply take it all in from a beach chair. Whatever your pleasure at the Amanpuri, your serenity is assured.
