Who should go?
Advice: Secluded and luxurious, the Amankila Resort in Karangasem Bali is the ideal getaway for discerning travelers seeking a private, beachside stay.  The gorgeous suites and excellent array of facilities afford an unforgettable stay for those seeking relaxation, but may not appeal to travelers seeking nightlife options.

When to go?
Bali is located about 8 degrees south of the equator, so there isn't much variation in temperature averaging about 32 degrees Celsius throughout the year. Bali's dry season is from April to October and is the best time to visit.  The wet season is from November to March and coincides with the southern hemisphere's summer, so Bali can be a little loud with tourists and parties during this time. December and January are the most humid and rainy months in Bali with about 85% humidity and 290 millimeters of monthly rainfall.  April and May are the best months to visit as the weather is the most bearable and coincides with the end of the low season.

Where is it?
Nestled on a cliff top facing the Lombok Straits, the resort is close to Manggis, Candi Dasa, Tenganan and other villages in Karangasem, East Bali.  Denpasar International Airport is a 90 minute drive away.

What's not to be missed?
A refreshing dip in one of the resort's swimming pools. A tantalizing meal while overlooking the ocean. A traditional Bali spa session. A relaxing walk along the beach.

What's cooking?
Amankila's signature dining venue, The Restaurant, overlooks the Lombok Strait and the chefs serve up a mouth-watering choice of western and Indonesian delights. Adjacent to The Restaurant is Amankila's Bar, where drinks and light snack can be enjoyed with uninterrupted sea view. The Terrace and Beach Club both offer casual daytime dining alternatives, with the former being poolside and the later, as it names suggests, on the beach. Of course, should guests want ultimate privacy, in-room dining is available anytime of the day.
