Phi Ta Khon Festival - Isaan Insight
Taking place from 6-14 June 2010, this nine-day tour offers a chance to partake in a fascinating folk festival during an immersive journey across Thailand's northeastern provinces. Unique to Dan Sai district in Loei Province, Phi Ta Khon is a colorful merit-making festival that reflects the Isaan belief in ghosts and spirits. Marked by lots of dancing and music, locals take to the streets dressed as ghosts with colorful masks and large hats. The tour is timed to arrive in Dan Sai on the festival's main day to allow travelers to join in the merry processions.

Elephant Round-Up Festival
Spotlighting Surin's annual Elephant Round-Up Festival in November, this four-day tour offers travelers a chance to partake in a lively festival as well as to explore some of Thailand's most magnificent monuments in the Isaan region. During the festival, travelers will see various elephant competitions, enormous buffet spreads prepared for the pachyderms, and dramatic mock battles performed by these majestic beasts and their mahouts.
