“Organic Farm Excursion for Kids” is an educational day trip that visits Rai Plook Rak, a unique organic farm in Ratchaburi province located an hour’s drive from Bangkok. Designed for children between the ages of 4 to 11 years, the visit presents the ideal opportunity for city kids to learn more about countryside life and the great outdoors.
A teacher from Acacia, an established international nursery in Bangkok, will accompany the children throughout the excursion and guide them through the day’s activities. Language acquisition skills in French or English will be incorporated into the exciting line-up of activities to allow young minds to learn another language through play. Depending on the number of children, the group may be sub-divided into different age groups.
After arriving at Rai Plook Rak farm, children will spend the morning chasing butterflies before partaking in an insect-themed coloring project and vocabulary lesson amid the lush compound. Following a tasty lunch of fresh, organic produce, folk songs will be taught to the children. The afternoon continues with more fascinating activities, including collecting duck eggs to make salted eggs, a hands-on ice cream workshop, and creating a miniature organic garden as a unique souvenir to take home.
As this excursion has been designed with children’s utmost safety and enjoyment in mind, it is not necessary or recommended for parents to accompany their kids. The trip objectives are to foster in children a sense of independence and a curiosity of the natural world. Parents are just required to bring their children to the meeting point in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon.
