The following general activities are not exclusive of other duties, which jobholder has to perform, assigned by the management

GENERAL ACTIVITIES

1. Sales and clients

  • Provide literature and information to clients concerning local, interstate and international tours, travel routes, accommodation, local customs, fares and travel regulations
  • Discuss with clients about their requirements and advise the suitable options
  • Prepare and submit tailor-make inbound itineraries including of creating detailed programs and price proposals
  • Guide prospective clients and entice them to confirm the booking
  • Make travel, accommodation and related bookings and confirming them
  • Confirm the program order and notify clients of compulsory information / documents (luggage limits, insurance, medical, passport, visa and currency requirements)
  • Inform quickly the Department Manager in case of real problems, allowing a suitable solution

2. Contact with suppliers

  • Make reservation with suppliers and partners in a timely manner
  • Maintain and develop a good partnership and relationship with all kinds of suppliers

3. Accounting

  • Issue invoices for each booking and collect payments and maintain records of transactions (if applied)
  • Assist accounting department with regards to payment matters
  • Alert the Department Manager in case of non payment

4. Administration & Information

  • Issue all travel documents to customers
  • Keep oneself informed about all tourism-related issues in destinations area
  • Ensure all sales are reported in Tourplan software as well as sales report
  • Assist with changes to travel arrangements and booking where required
  • Use Exotissimo 's standard operating procedures in all actions

 

SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES

On line travel:

Guide prospective clients through the website, coordinate custom trip itineraries, complete sales transactions and process credit card information

SPECIFIC GRADES OF CONSULTANTS

Confirmed:

  • Handle the regular clients requests
  • Deal with all types of requests and deliver the adequate solutions
  • Follow up on travel process (changes of bookings when required, etc.)
  • Deal with all the upgrades including date alterations, attractions, meals & hotels.

 

EXPECTED RESULTS

Confirmed:

  • Ensure that the product knowledge is current and relevant for the needs of the business
  • Ensure the follow up of the invoices and payments
  • Build relationships with clients in order to be able to pro-actively sell and gain a loyal client base or repeat bookings


PROFESSIONAL RELATIONS

  • Work closely with management and colleagues
  • Liaise with suppliers and clients

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Confirmed: 3 - 6 years experience working in retail travel or travel reservations
  • especially as travel consultant at any Tourism company

 

EDUCATION

  • University Degree. "Foreign" experience would be a plus

 

SKILLS

  • Good communication in English (written & spoken) / French
  • High level of personal presentation: clean, friendly & helpful
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, ability to build strong relationships with clients
  • Strong sales and customer service focus
  • Responsible and self-motivation, ability to work under pressure
  • Computer skills (word, excel, outlook)
  • Pro-active & Team spirit, Good organizational & solving problems skill
  • A passion for travel, good knowledge of tourism destinations
  • Rigorous, strong attention to details
