Since 1 December 2008, the entrance fees for many museums and historical parks in Thailand have increased significantly, sometimes more than 100% from the previous rate, e.g. National Museum: 40 to 200 Baht, Royal Barge Museum: 30 to 100 Baht, Ayutthaya Historical Park: 30 to 50 Baht. For all previously quoted tours (including series), Exotissimo has decided to absorb the price differences and keep our promise to operate the tour as they were quoted. However, our reservations team will automatically include the increase in entrance fees for all new quotations. Contact thailand@exotissimo.com for more information.

Kachin National Manaw Park is situated near Myitkyina. In the compound, all buildings are built according to Kachin traditional style and design. Kachin houses are always divided into two parts, half for the owner and his family, and the rest for guests. It is believed that houses with Manaw pillars (similar to totem poles), house elders can take part in the Manaw Festival.
The Manaw Festival is normally held in January, featuring the cultural heritage of the local tribes. There are a variety of dances providing visitors with the rare sight of these peaceful people celebrating in a burst of music and color. Kachin peoples gather on this occasion to celebrate weddings and the harvest. Money and donations are offered to the local guardian spirits, the Nats.

The last month the Exotissimo team has worked hard on day trips for people staying in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. If you had enough of all those cars, noise, tourists and people hassling you; join us in the countryside!
Exotissimo can take you out of the hustle and bustle of the city and show you what life in the countryside is all about. Either you can do it by foot, by bicycle or by car, the choice is up to you.
In Phnom Penh we have 3 excellent trips to Kampong Chnang where you can see the traditional pottery making and a tour through the floating village or a bicycle ride through the villages and stunning scenery, or join to Oudong and cycle your way around for 30km through excellent countryside with beautiful views of rice paddies and traditional villages or join us to Kirirom National Park where a visit to the waterfalls and a hike through the Pine Forest are a real treat for any nature lover!
