Exotissimo Laos has created new day trips in Southern Laos. ‘Boloven Plateau Loop’ is a full day trip that explores the scenic beauty of the Bolovan highlands, including visits to the Tad Lo and Tad Fane waterfalls and a coffee plantation. The Laos Association of Travel Agencies (LATA) has selected three Exotissimo excursions to feature in its annual ‘Responsible Travel Guide’ publication. LATA created the booklet to promote responsible tourism in the country and chooses a variety of programs that ‘aim to minimize negative economic, environmental and social impacts’ on Lao society. Parents can bring their young kids on our eco-friendly bike trips in Luang Prabang as child seats are now available on our electronic bikes. These back-mounted seats come with features such seat belts and adjustable foot straps to ensure a safe and comfortable ride for children. Jointly developed by Vientiane Orchids and Exotissimo Laos, the Orchids Trek is a one-day nature tour that explores the Phou Khao Khouay National Park in search of native wild orchids. On 25 March 2009, Exotissimo pledged further support to this program by signing an agreement with Bolikhamxay Province and Vientiane Orchids to help promote and sell the Orchids Trek over the next three years. During the trek, each group will be accompanied by a minimum of 2 trained local guides – an effort to provide a sustainable income source for the locals. Effective February 18th, Exotissimo Laos is continuing with its structural re-organization. Mr. David Jaillet is moving from his duties as Operations Manager to new challenges in re-opening our local travel agency.
Ms. Chloe Chomienne will be taking over the Inbound Reservations Department after working in our local travel agency and a brief stint working for Carlson Wagonlit. We have faith that David and Chloe, with the support of Exotissimo Laos General Manager Laurent Granier will be able to efficiently handle your requests in good order.

On January 15th, Exotissimo Laos was pleased to welcome Laurent Granier as General Manager. He returns to the Exotissimo family after having been program director for Embers Asia. Laurent is no stranger to Laos having been present when we first opened our Vientiane office. Since then he has also been the Customer Care Manager of Exotissimo Vietnam. Laurent is excited to re-join the Exotissimo team and looking forward to the challenges of managing our all three of our Exotissimo offices.
