The Angkor Entrance Fee has been restructured. The 3-day pass is now valid on any 3 days within a calendar week instead of 3 consecutive days. The ticket will be valid from the moment of purchase. This will allow visitors to better appreciate the wealth of cultural sites within the Angkor complex while interspersing their temple touring with other activities in and around Siem Reap. The Angkor Archaeological Park has announced a program to maintain a sustainable environment for Angkor. Only cars, tuk tuks, motos, mini-vans with 12 passengers or less, and electric cars will be allowed within Angkor Thom. Operated by local authorities, each car comes with a professional driver and seats a maximum of 9 passengers. There is no time limit for the electric car rental, however the cars will not be able to operate in other sections of the archaeological park. Advance reservations are highly recommended and the rental charge is US$3 per person. Exotissimo will keep this in mind when completing your client’s bookings for larger groups by offering the choice of electric cars or splitting the group into separate smaller vans. The Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity (ACCB) is Cambodia’s first nature conservation centre. The not-for-profit centre has been established since 2003 to preserve wildlife and biodiversity, as well as to educate and train the local communities in environmental protection. Guided tours of the conservation facility are conducted at 1pm every weekday, whereas village-based sustainable tours allow visitors insight into everyday life and challenges in rural Cambodia.

In Siem Reap the crowds are easily escaped by just heading 10km out of town. Take a wonderful bicycle ride to Roulous Temple group and onwards to Kampong Phluck and enjoy a cruise through traditional floating villages before heading back to Siem Reap.
Another option is to explore the countryside between the famous Angkor Complex and the magnificent Kulen Mountains. Here you can cycle a loop of 30km passing by Banteay Samre temple, Phnom Bok Hill for stunning views and end up at Banteay Srey Temple, a must see for everyone. This cycling experience takes you through endless paddy fields over perfect dirt roads and through beautiful villages.
The last option is to explore the perfectly hidden treasure of Beng Mealea. Discover this temple by yourself and wander around the jungle before having a great picnic lunch in the countryside.Continue onward to Phnom Bok to admire stunning views of the plains below. Beng Mealea is a real treat for any explorer and anyone who loves and appreciates nature at its best.
