New Green Tour Launches in Laos

Green Tour 2Exotissimo has designed a 6-day tour that takes you on a journey through some of the most elating and untouched natural beauty within the region. Beginning in Vientiane the ‘Green Laos Tour’ offers travelers the chance to explore the cascading waterfalls, rugged mountains and limestone cliffs of the sleepy capital before flying to the spiritual heart of the region, Luang Prabang.
The current ‘darling’ of Southeast Asia, few can resist the inherent charm of Luang Prabang. This package devotes 4-days of the tour to see exactly why; travelers will be afforded tremendous insight into the ritual and relics of Buddhism partaking in the synonymous feeding of the monks (alms) experience and climbing the 328 steps of Mount Phousi. In keeping with the Exo’s commitment to responsible-travel we have incorporated the electric bike excursion into the tour offering both a way to discover the city while introducing the people to an emission free mode of transport. Perfect for a city-tour of Luang Prabang.

This week in Thailand

This week has seen the celebrations of ‘Songkran’, Thai New Year and one of the world’s greatest water fights take place. This is a time when many Thais return to their families to celebrate the New Year, meaning not only have the streets of the city been quieter than usual but many of the ‘Red Shirt’ protesters have left Bangkok to return to their hometowns, and are being encouraged not to return to the city. Many of the festivities have continued, the atmosphere has been great and revelers have enjoyed the traditional water fights on some of the streets both in Bangkok and throughout the rest of Thailand. Tourist sites, hotels and restaurants are all open and shops and businesses continue to trade as normal.
