Since 1 July 2009, Vietnam Airlines has launched thrice-weekly flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Hoi using Fokker 70 aircrafts. Dong Hoi, in central Vietnam, is an emerging destination famed for its unexplored beaches and location near the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

The 25th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games is scheduled to be held in Vientiane this year from 9-18 December. Exotissimo is proud to unveil our redesigned Travel Trade site! Registered members can access the site using their same usernames and passwords in the log-in section. For new agents wishing to access Travel Trade for the first time, fill in the online application form by clicking on the ‘Register Now’ button . With dozens of new features to enhance your experience and improved search functions, Travel Trade will continue to be a valuable link in our communication with you.

A new feature of the site is the ability to create individual users under one company log-in. Not only can you then manage your individual and company profiles, but you can also store individual ‘Wish List’ and ‘My Album’ lists tailored to your specific needs. The user profile section also allows Travel Trade members to sign up for our electronic mailings, change contact details or add new users from your company with a few simple clicks.

We have upgraded our search and filter functions to make it easier and faster to find a specific item or group of items. By cataloging our Tours, Day Trips and Hotels into categories such as length of stay, location and travel style you can search based on these criteria to find a range of Exotissimo products to suit your client’s needs.

Another new addition to the Travel Trade site is a ‘Wish List’ function. Like online shopping, while browsing through our programs you can select your favorites to store in an always accessible sidebar. This easy-to-use function allows you to add, remove or store items to the list as well as download all items at once or each one individually. We have also expanded our Photo Gallery to offer more pictures to help illustrate your programs and materials. Following the same concept of our ‘wish list’, the Photo Gallery has a ‘My Album’ feature allowing you to browse throughout the site, collect preferred images and then download them as a group or individually. The photos are available in high and low resolution sizes and searchable by destination.

Recently opened, the Muang Thong Hotel is ideal for group bookings. Situated a short stroll from the town center, the hotel has a swimming pool and the spacious rooms are appointed in traditional Lao style. Another addition is the AA Villa, a small family-owned property offering 12 well-equipped guestrooms and a swimming pool. It is located within the city center and a 10-minute drive from the airport.

The River-Beach Resort in Hoi An will be closed from 1 August to 30 September 2009 for renovation. Exotissimo will ensure that all bookings for Hoi An during this period are redirected to another of our preferred hotels.

From 13 July – 17 October 2009, the Victoria Can Tho Resort will be renovating its lobby every day from 8am to 4pm. According to the hotel management, the area under construction will be cordoned off and the noise level will be kept to a minimal.

On Siem Reap’s Wat Bo Street, the Selantra Restaurant is a stylish dining outlet with an art gallery devoted to works by young Khmer artists. The Selantra boasts a menu of Khmer and international dishes as well as a large selection of wines and cocktails. It is suitable for private dinners or groups up to 85 guests.
