EcoSea Dive is currently offering exciting multi-day dive courses on Koh Rung Saloem, an unspoiled island paradise only 2.5 hours by boat from Sihanoukville. Established in 2001, EcoSea Dive is the first Cambodian dive center to offer both PADI and SSI courses. The lessons cater to divers of different levels and are conducted in several languages. The courses include boat transfers, equipment, dive manuals, board and overnight stays at the new EcoSea Resort on Rung Saloem Island.
Newly opened on the southern tip of Koh Yao Noi is Nature Lodge, a luxury safari-tented eco-lodge set amid 7 acres of greenery. The property consists of 11 deluxe villas and 4 family villas, which are all built according to traditional Thai architectural styles with ample use of local materials. Each unit faces the sea and has its own private garden. Resort facilities include an infinity-edged pool, a spa, a restaurant and an activity center.
Opening this month in Ayutthaya is Kantary Hotel, which is setting the standards for high-end accommodation in the ancient Siamese capital. Featuring studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, the Kantary also doubles as a serviced apartment. The hotel counts a restaurant, a swimming pool, a fitness center, a jacuzzi and a business center among its many facilities.
Bhaya has launched three private charter junks onto the waters of Halong Bay. Bhaya Legend I is fitted with one luxurious suite-cabin while Bhaya Legend II (two boats are available with the same names and sizes) features two cabins. These new, intimate junks are designed in similar styles as the Bhaya Classic Junks with a green interior and a white exterior.
Accommodation options in Stung Treng have been fairly limited until recently. Located close to the town center, the newly opened Tonlé Meas Hotel offers smart and comfortable rooms. For the entire month of June 2009, Luang Say will not operate its Mekong cruise and lodge services as both the boat and lodge will be renovated during this period.
Satri House in Luang Prabang is closed for renovation until September. The hotel is expected to resume operations in September but no specific date has been given.
