New Year Holidays in April

Mid-April is the time for many New Year celebrations in Southeast Asia. Exotissimo Cambodia and Laos will be closed from 14 – 16 April for Chaul Chnam Thmey and Pii Mai Lao respectively. In Thailand, our offices will be closed for Songkran from 13 – 15 April while our Myanmar offices will close from 13 – 17 April during Thingyan. Exotissimo Vietnam will remain open during this time. We would like to remind all agents to confirm bookings for this period as soon as possible.

Emerging Nightlife in Phnom Penh

Recently, several bars and clubs have opened in Phnom Penh in addition to the existing ones, proving that the capital is fast becoming a hip and trendy city after dark. Exotissimo highlights below some of the most exciting places for night owls.

The Chinese House: Overlooking the Tonle Sap River, this beautifully restored 100-year house features a cozy lounge bar and art gallery, making it a great place to enjoy drinks and snacks in style while admiring contemporary art pieces.

Gasolina: Close to the Boeng Keng Kong Market, this Spanish-style restaurant and bar serves tapas, cocktails, Chilean wines, Belgian beer in a lush garden setting. Salsa dance and martial arts lessons are regular activities and live music is performed on Friday nights.

Road to Mandalay to Resume Services

After more than a year of extensive re-furbishing, Road to Mandalay will resume its river cruise operations along the Irrawaddy River on 26 August 2009.

All cabins and suites of this luxurious cruiser are now equipped with individual air-conditioning systems.
